Happy Saturday!

This week’s recipe may sound weird, but you’re going to have to trust me. Even I had doubts as I filmed my final version but one bite into it reminded me that yes, it does indeed blow my mind. It may sound a little childish, but once assembled it absolutely gives “best dish at the table” energy. The whipped goat cheese and brown butter just round out and elevate the HECK out of the CTC (Cinnamon Toast Crunch).

Expect a chorus of “What is this?” in the best way, and prepare for jaws to drop when you tell them it’s their favorite childhood cereal.

And honestly? I love an excuse to buy a sweet cereal I might not normally keep on hand. My midnight snack just got a whole lot better.

It’s:
✅low maintenance: fantastic hot and honestly just as good once it drops to room temp
✅very few dishes: always a win on the most dish heavy day of the year
✅totally preppable in advance 🥳🥳🥳🥳 and travels well

And in case you missed it - all Thanksgiving recipes are in the Thanksgiving hub, so make sure to bookmark it.

Hosting doesn’t have to be a production. From now until the new year, I’ll be sharing easy hosting tips to help you pull off easy breezy, effortless gatherings that still feel special.

this week’s tip: plating matters. I have lots of practice plating to wow from my food photos so sharing a few tips to make your dish the most instagrammable at the table.

  1. layer and finish: a sprinkle of salt or nuts, or a drizzle of oil around the edge of plate will add a really nice visual difference.

  2. play with color: a pop of contrasting color elevates any plate. Use herbs, microgreens, arugula for a pop of green or a drizzle of hot honey, chili flakes, pomegranate seeds for a pop of red. Light food on a dark plate, dark food on a light plate. Color contrast makes every ingredient pop.

  3. use the right tools: a small spoon for drizzles, a microplane for zest or cheese, tongs for delicate placement. Small tools make placement precise without fuss.
