game day dill pickle dip with fried saltines

serves 6-8 | 20 minutes

I originally had a vision for a crab <> pickle dip mashup, but in order to get enough pickles to pop, it actually ended up making the crab extra fishy tasting - not in a good way. I tried adding the crab at the end, I tried hot, I tried cold, but to no avail. So instead I did the dip sans crab and leaned into a hot cold contrast with the cold dip <> hot saltines, and BOOM, there it was. It’s almost giving pimento pickle dip.

You can definitely serve these with any cracker, but the fried saltines really take things up a notch and will have people thinking you really went above and beyond (when in actuality it’s pretty damn easy).
