Another month, another pile of recipes I’m very proud of 🫶 June was a good one. Lots of summer produce, lots of playing around with photography because summer food is just so beautiful and I couldn’t help myself.

Life-wise, June has been gooooood. I’ve been grilling nonstop, rain or shine. The World Cup has been in Vancouver this month which is basically walking distance from our house so we’ve been able to soak up all the energy without actually having to try very hard, which is my ideal situation. We also started taking Reggie to a new park every Sundays and doing a picnic dinner, which has become my favorite part of the week (probably hers too). My new favorite summer tradition.
everything from june, in one place
spatchcock chicken with whole lemon pesto and grilled asparagus
15 minute chicken salad with chipotle cottage cheese dressing
quick and easy anchovy flank steak with grilled tomato panzanella
baked potato salad with cheddar shards and miso horseradish dressing
what you’ve been loving
Seeing you actually make these things and share what you did differently is the whole point. Keep them coming!
a few things I've been loving
flamingo estate candle: I truly had no idea what a tomato candle would smell liked and I was intrigued to say the least. It’s really earthy and fresh and actually smells exactly like when you sniff the stem of a tomato. I’m into it. Plus you know I love a smoked glass anything.
nespresso cooler bag: so full disclosure: I got this for free. Not a brand gift though, just a Nespresso app freebie (they regularly do these if you buy a certain number of pods, highly recommend checking). I love a freebie, and I especially love this one because it’s butter yellow and the perfect size for a picnic or lunch. That said, I would absolutely pay the $40 for it. But it is limited edition so don’t sleep on it!
caraway dutch oven: my yellow obsession continues. Caraway sent me some pieces to try and I'm obsessed with the color AND the storage holders that come with their bundles. I actually cleared out my whole pots and pans station to make room. What impressed me most is that they haven't changed color or burned despite high heat use, and they've held up way better than other non-stick brands I tend to destroy within the first two uses.
wine holder: I recently came across this Vancouver-based creator who makes these stunning crocheted wine holders and I am OBSESSED. Got one in every color immediately. They're only $25, handmade, and make such a good gift and cute way to level up giving a bottle of wine. If you're my friends or family reading this… spoiler, you're probably getting one of these soon. I also use mine for my water bottle which I did not expect, but here we are!
old navy halter top: I honestly love Old Navy and they have some great fashion finds lately. I love this halter it’s so comfy and goes with so many different colors. Dress it up or down, and if you can rock short shorts they come as a matching set.
Thanks for being here! June was a fabulous month and I’m so glad you were part of it 🫶
