Happy Sunday and welcome back to R&R š«¶, Iām happy youāre here!Ā
I CANNOT believe it is September. Summer always goes by fast but this year felt exceptionally speedy, no? Maybe itās because I donāt have a normal schedule anymore, or maybe itās because the weather sucked, or maybe itās just because Iām aging and times seem to move faster. š«
All that to say though, October through December is my second favorite time of year. All the holidays (including my birthday!), all the cozy food and mulled wine, and of course sweata weatha.
One big update before we get into things
Exciting news if youāre a Substack fan, Iām going to be posting all my recipes here going forward (and will eventually bring all my old ones over).
Why did I move:
Kyle previously did all the web work for me, but it was becoming a lot and I wanted something I could manage myself and not have to bug him daily.
I wanted more flexibility in what I share and how I share it, so Substack lets me do just that without having to learn how to code.
Iāll also be turning on a paid subscription if you choose to opt in! Donāt worry, your subscription wonāt change unless you choose to, and youāll still receive some free recipes and content. But if you do choose to upgrade to paid hereās a sneak peak at what youāll get:
exclusive 30-minute meal every week
extended weekly Sunday R&R with exclusive food guides, behind the scenes, cooking classes, giveaways, and more coming soon!
full access to the R&R community, you can comment on posts, join the group chat to share your kitchen wins and fails, and message me anytime with your kitchen questions
and support me and my business!! š«¶
Knowing itās back to school next week, I donāt have many ākid friendly lunch recipesā, and honestly I know thereās a plethora of that stuff out there. So instead, Iāll share 6 incredibly easy weeknight dinner ideas that can help ease your first week.

Sheet pan sausage and peppers - throw a few things on a pan, make a quick dip, and call it a day.
Boursin marry me chicken - I donāt think it gets much easier than this for a chicken dinner. And youāll only dirty one pot, hurray!
20 minute creamy leek chicken - Oh wait, I did find an even easier chicken dinner š
Easy beef and broccoli noodles - If youāve got a bottle of Bachan's Japanese BBQĀ Sauce burning a hole in your fridge door, this oneās for you.
Creamy roasted red pepper and sausage pasta - need I say more?
French bread pizza - cause itās not a complete week without pizza.
