TOTAL TIME: 2 hours (1.5 hours hands off)
SERVES: 4-6 (16 pieces)
I’ve been wanting to try these crispy rice bites for a while but couldn’t justify the time it took to make them OR having to buy a specific type of rice just for one recipe. So as I do, I messed around and found out that it doesn’t have to be that way!
I use regular jasmine rice, and have a few tricks to make things go fast, yet smooth, and you can have these party-wowing bites in 2 hours. YES it’s long but it’s mostly hands off and so much easier/faster than any other version I’ve seen.
These are great as a meal, or very impressive as an appetizer for a party. Feel free to play around with the topping, if you’re brave enough you can do raw, sushi grade tuna (I just can’t be fussed to be honest), or anything else your heart desires. These are great with avocado as well if you have it, but you know me, I like to keep things nice and simple.
