The dinner roll; While it might not seem important, to me it's not a meal without a side of bread. Yes we have a lot of carbs going already, but how else are you supposed to scoop up the final bits off your plate and get every last bit of that gorgeous gravy??

These butter rolls are perfectly simple and easy. While I'd normally opt for something that's ready a bit faster, since I'm already cooking all day, throwing these into the mix doesn't feel like a huge lift. The hands on time is about 30 minutes, the rest is just rising/baking. And there's just something about kneading dough that really brings home the "from scratch" feeling when you're cooking.

These rolls are perfectly doughy, buttery, and fluffy.
