You may be thinking a pumpkin pie is a must, and I don't disagree. However, there are about a million pumpkin pie recipes out there already and I'm sure many of you already have a tried and true version. So I opted for something a bit more unique, still fall-y, and of course extremely simple.

Why do I love this recipe? It calls for store bought pie dough! If you don't bake, Thanksgiving is not the time for learning how to make pie dough. There are so many factors that go into a perfect crust and why bother stressing over it when honestly, probably no one will be able to tell the difference. If you have a tried and true pie crust recipe, by all means use it. But trust me, from experience, wrapping up a fabulous dinner that you spent hours on with a non-perfect pie crust just sucks.

Besides, you are making a really fancy miso caramel sauce to serve it with which will be the real star here.
