For the ring:
2-3 tubes Pillsbury crescent rolls
thin layer of leftover mashed potatoes
shredded cheese of choice (swiss/jack/mozza/cheddar)
layer of leftover turkey
layer of leftover stuffing
thin layer of cranberry sauce
For the sage-garlic butter:
2 tbsp butter
1 clove garlic
small handful fresh sage leaves
For topping:
¼ cup finely grated parmesan
For the dijon gravy dip:
1 cup leftover gravy
1 tbsp dijon mustard

riff: I love this ring recipe cause you can basically use any leftovers you want and it will be delicious.
⏰ make ahead: you can assemble this ahead of time (up to 1 day) and bake when ready, or fully bake and pop in the oven for a few minutes to reheat.
📦 storing: keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
🔄leftovers: pop in the microwave or in the air fryer .

build the crescent ring

preheat oven to 350°F.
on a parchment-lined tray, arrange crescent triangles in a circle with the points facing out. Overlap the edges to create a wreath base. I used about 2 1/2 rolls for mine, but use less or more depending on how many leftovers you have.
spoon on a thin layer of mashed potatoes, stuffing, cheese, turkey, then a thin line of cranberry sauce.
fold the tips of the triangles over the filling and tuck under the centre.
finish the ring

in a small pan over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Once almost melted, add minced garlic and sage. Let it bubble 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Brush onto the ring, dispersing the sage leaves across the ring.
sprinkle with finely grated parmesan.
bake for 15-18 minutes, until deeply golden brown on the top.
make the dijon gravy dip
while the ring bakes, whisk 1 cup gravy and 1 tbsp dijon in a small bowl. Warm until smooth and creamy. Finish with black pepper.
serve

once baked, let cool for a minute or two, then slice into pieces. Serve with the dijon gravy.

⚠️ Important Note: if a substitute isn't listed below, I don't recommend omitting or replacing that ingredient, as it will significantly alter the final dish.

we make a taco ring using crescent rolls, taco beef and cheese! equally delicious
Oh yeah. the best part of thanksgiving is being with friends. The best part of the dishes are the leftover options they provide - who really doesn't like the follow on leftover mashups over the next week (longer if you have a good freezer). This looks incredible and adaptable (no potatoes, but thinking queso fresco would pair nicely with the mole negro gravy on our smoked turkey.
