Hot Honey Sloppy Janes

Pin Recipe
Pantry

1/3 cup Frank's hot sauce

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/3 cup pickled jalapenos

3 brioche buns

Produce
Protein

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

Dairy

1 tbsp butter

3 slices smoked cheddar

Pre Recipe Prep

1.

Toast your buns

Heat a frying pan over high heat. Add buns, cut side down, and cook for about 30 seconds until just golden brown. *Optional - add a thin layer of butter or olive oil to the bun before grilling. Remove and set aside.

2.

Cook your sloppy Jane

To a large frying pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and heat over medium high. Add ground turkey with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, breaking up into really small pieces, then leaving it alone to brown, flipping once.

Once almost cooked through, add 1 tsp smoked paprika and 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Mix and cook for about 30 seconds. Then add 1/3 cup Frank's hot sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tbsp butter and 1/3 cup pickled jalapenos and mix well. Cook until the sauce has slightly thickened and the meat is all the way cooked through.

3.

Assemble

To your bun, add cheese, then the sloppy Jane mix, top with pickles and enjoy. I like to serve this with a bagged salad.
